Dr. Gould graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1987 and is Board Certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She served on faculty at Emory from 1992-1994 as Medical Director of outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry services at Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gould has been on the Clinical Faculty at Emory since 1994 and is very active in teaching and supervising Psychiatry Residents on a variety of subjects - including DBT. In 1994, Dr. Gould assumed her current position as Medical Director of Hillside Inc – a psychiatric treatment center in Atlanta, Georgia that provides residential and community-based mental health services to severely emotionally disturbed youth and their families. Dr. Gould has had extensive training in DBT – including Advanced Intensive Training with Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. in 2008. Dr. Gould has been instrumental in the development and implementation of comprehensive DBT services at Hillside.
